AWARENESS ORIENTATION - for secondary schools

• Awareness Orientation is an exciting experiential programme for 11 to 18 year olds, which does exactly that.
• Developed by a psychologist and educator who is internationally renowned for her work in the field of personal development, this programme supports you in addressing several of the Every Child Matters strands.
• Successfully piloted in comprehensive schools, Awareness Orientation is being received enthusiastically by teachers, pupils and parents.
• Particularly effective for groups and individuals with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, including ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome, the programme can also be used with whole classes as part of personal, social and health education or in tutor periods.
• Awareness Orientation is a structured programme that combines discussion with experiential processes that draw on visualisation and relaxation techniques.
• This enjoyable programme (boys love it!) offers schools a powerful tool to influence pupils’ thinking, build their self-esteem, calm them down and make them more responsive learners.
• The first pack in the series, ‘Calm and Strong’, provides you with materials to train all or some of your staff – either as a day’s training or a series of lunchtime / twilight sessions – together with a four-CD set of processes.
• This pack  focuses on the problems faced by young people and develops inner strength, calmness and coping strategies for a variety of situations.
• It can be used straight off the shelf and is priced at £350 (+ VAT) to reflect the versatile training content as well as the specialist programme.
• Schools are free to copy the training manual for internal use and may order extra sets of the CDs, for use in their own institution, at a cost of £20.
• Additional ten-minute processes for the first pack will be coming out in the next few months.
• All subsequent packs in the series will be available at a reduced rate to those who have purchased ‘Calm and Strong’. The next in the series, ‘Focus and Concentration’, will be out later this year.
